Two Days of Culture, Heritage and Community
The 5th World of Love Multicultural Carnival, presented by the North America Chinese Culture Promotion Society, returns in 2026 with two distinctive cultural experiences in Coquitlam and Vancouver.
Across two days, audiences will experience professional performing arts, Chinese intangible cultural heritage, multicultural performances, and traditional cultural practices — creating a shared platform where heritage, artistry, and community come together.

A free cultural gathering designed for families and the wider community.
Through cultural displays, traditional arts, and interactive experiences, visitors can discover Chinese heritage while engaging with the traditions of Vancouver’s diverse cultural communities.

Sound of Harmony Performance Gala
The centerpiece of this year’s Carnival.
A large-scale multicultural performing arts gala led by distinguished National First-Class Kunqu Opera artists from China, joined by professional performing groups representing diverse cultural communities across Metro Vancouver.
The performance brings Chinese heritage onto a shared multicultural stage — celebrating artistic excellence, cultural diversity, and connection through music, dance, storytelling, and traditional performance.

Echoes of Chinese Heritage

A more intimate cultural experience dedicated to some of China’s most treasured traditional arts.
The afternoon will feature:
Kunqu Opera · Suzhou Pingtan · Guqin · Traditional Tea Ceremony
Four National First-Class Performing Artists and Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritors from China will present these living traditions in the unique setting of the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden.
Designed as both a performance and cultural experience, the program offers audiences a rare opportunity to encounter the sound, movement, storytelling, and aesthetics of traditional Chinese culture up close.
